Position title: Outreach Coordinator
With a background in public service and student leadership development, Kari brings her experience in community building and collaboration to the Outreach Coordinator position in the Office of Student Financial Aid. As a UW-Madison alumna, she is thrilled to be a part of a team that works every day to increase access and remove barriers to the pursuit of higher education. In this role, she coordinates outreach through partnerships and presentations to prospective students and families across the state and beyond to demystify the financial aid process. Kari also advises current students, works closely with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, and serves on various campus committees. She’s worked at UW-Madison since 2014 previously with the Morgridge Center for Public Service, the Chancellor’s Scholarship Program, and the Center for Leadership & Involvement. Her undergraduate degree from UW-Madison is in Community & Nonprofit Leadership & Women’s Studies and she holds a Master’s in Public Service and Leadership from Marquette University. In her free time she enjoys camping, playing games, watching and performing improv comedy, traveling, and spending time with her spirited toddler, husband, and other chosen family.
