Position title: Scholarship Aid Manager
Nicole Schumacher serves as the Scholarship Aid Manager for the Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She partners with a variety of scholarship organizations, such as the Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association and First Wave to ensure students are properly awarded their scholarships and scholarship funds are respectfully stewarded. In addition, she manages the awarding of Veteran’s Benefits to students. During her time in financial aid, she has earned the 2013 Shining Star Award from Herzing University and, along with her colleagues, the 2017 Administrative Improvement Award from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
In and outside of the office, Nicole has a passion for wellness. She founded the OSFA Wellness Committee and continues to strive for wellness for all employees and students. She especially would love to see all students embrace financial wellness by funding their education wisely.
Nicole holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and a Bachelor of Science in Broadfield Social Studies from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. She also has earned her Certificate of Leadership Competency through UW-Madison’s Office of Learning and Talent Development.
