Nicole Schumacher

Nicole Schumacher serves as the Assistant Director for Special Awards for the Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  She partners with a variety of scholarship organizations, such as the Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association, Fund for Wisconsin Scholars, and First Wave to ensure students are properly awarded their scholarships and scholarship funds are respectfully stewarded.  In addition, she manages the awarding of Veteran’s Benefits to students.  During her ten years in financial aid, she has earned the 2013 Shining Star Award from Herzing University and, along with her colleagues, the 2017 and 2022 Administrative Improvement Award from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Nicole holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and a Bachelor of Science in Broadfield Social Studies from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.  She also has earned her Certificate of Leadership Competency through UW-Madison’s Office of Learning and Talent Development.
