Maggie Nowicki serves as the Athletic Aid Manager for the Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She works closely with the Athletic Compliance office on campus to ensure we are compliant with NCAA and Big10 regulations in regard to Financial Aid disbursement to student-athletes. She also supervises students within her unit, ensures accuracy of financial aid offers, and continually strives to keep equity and access at the forefront of her work. She is passionate about creating access and equity for all students within higher education and really enjoys being part of an office that makes educational experiences more affordable. Her previous experiences in higher education include academic advising and working with student civic engagement programs.
She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in International Management and Spanish from Central College in Pella, IA, and later went on to receive her Master’s in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University. In her free time she loves to read, explore new hiking trails with her dog, garden, and travel.
