Jeff “JP” Pfund is the Director of Student Loan Servicing/Assistant Director for the Office of Student Financial Aid at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has over 25 years of management experience in financial wellness, personal finance, signature loans, car loans, real estate, and financial aid. He has spent the last 20 years specializing in student loan recoveries, default aversion, goal management, compliance, program development, and assisting students who wish to re-enter school. Within the UW-Madison campus community he has stressed the importance of supporting alumni by being a lender of patience, not a lender of demand, and supporting student retention, persistence, and completion. JP sits on the Coalition of Higher Education Assistance Organization (COHEAO) Board of Directors as a past Vice President, serves on the Selection Committee of UW-Madison’s Go Big Read (first year common book program), assists returning adult students with Financial Wellness expertise via the UW Odyssey Project/Odyssey Beyond Bars, is the Campus Contact Administrator for Billing and Collection subcontractors for the 13 UW System schools, and is a past Planning Chief for the UW-Madison Emergency Operations Center. Jeff attended the Univ. of Singapore, Madison College, and graduated from Luther College with a double major in Economics and Political Science.
