The University of Wisconsin-Madison is committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for all people. The institution values a diverse community where all members are able to fully participate in the Wisconsin Experience. As Chapter 17 of the UW System code states, the university can accomplish its educational mission only if living and learning environments are safe and free from violence, harassment and intimidation.
Incidents of bias or hate affecting a person or group negatively impact the quality of the Wisconsin Experience for community members. UW-Madison takes such incidents seriously and will respond appropriately to reported or observed incidents of bias or hate.
Code of Conduct - Relationships with Educational Loan Lenders
UW System institutions and employees are committed to providing assistance in an objective, fair, clear, and understandable manner. UW institutions and employees have responsibilities to students and their families who use their professional services, as well as a continuing obligation to maintain the public’s confidence.
In order to assure students, their families, and the public that UW institutions and employees continue serving the students’ best interests, the UW System Policy on Institutional and Employee Relationships with Educational Loan Lenders has been developed. This Policy should be viewed as supplemental to, rather than superseding, other applicable state or federal laws and regulations.
